The JALUX Group was founded in 1962 to build and improve Japan Airlines (JAL)'s non-core businesses such as insurance, printing, and real estate. With the rapid development of JAL and the Japanese airline industry, the Group expanded into various business fields and developed its products and services for corporate customers, primarily those in the airline-related businesses such as aircraft components and cabin service supplies.
We also entered the retail businesses where airline passengers are the main customers such as product planning for in-flight sales and mail-order sales and operating airport shops. We have established ourselves as a unique trading and logistics company with a solid business foundation. In 2004, we were listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange 1st Section for the purpose of building a strong management and financial base, and in 2007, we accepted the equity participation of Sojitz Corporation to incorporate the know-how and purchasing power of a general trading company into the JAL-focused business base.
Through these initiatives, we have strived to improve the Group’s earnings and further expand our business domain.
Our business vision has been defined on the basis of the corporate policy of “Contributing to Tomorrow.”
We will use our strengths and make consolidated efforts to meet future challenges and achieve sustainable growth. |
